We encourage our employees to develop their potential with generous training opportunities. We are committed to flexible working hours and mobile working (Work Smart) wherever possible. Our foundation is an annual working time based on a 41-hour week. We facilitate part-time work and our working time models offer interesting approaches to achieving a balanced lifestyle and reconciling the demands of work and family. Our holiday policy guarantees all employees at least 25 days’ holiday. With modern workplaces and tools, we support ergonomic and efficient work practices independent of location.

We also facilitate flexible working hours for our senior managers. Our attractive framework conditions also include appealing working time models, appropriate remuneration systems for managers and autonomous working.

  • kununu Top Company: According to kununu.com, Zentralbahn is one of the most popular employers in Switzerland. In 2023, we again received the Top Company award.
  • Friendly Work Space: We offer our employees a respectful and appreciative working environment and we are committed to working conditions that promote good health. In recognition of this commitment, we were the first company based in the canton of Nidwalden to be awarded the “Friendly Work Space” label. We were successfully recertified in 2018 and 2021.
  • Diversity Award: In 2014, we received an award in the area of “Diversity Management” from “Bilanz” magazine in cooperation with the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
