«Grand Canyon» of Switzerland

In the heart of the picturesque Haslital valley in the eastern Bernese Oberland lies a natural wonder of impressive proportions – the Aare Gorge. Stretching 1,400 meters in length and reaching depths of up to 200 meters, it is one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in the region. Visitors can explore this awe-inspiring gorge safely and comfortably in about 45 minutes via walkways and tunnels. The gorge’s consistently cool temperatures make it a refreshing destination on hot days, while its mystique and powerful waters offer a fascinating experience even on rainy days. Food and takeaway options are available at the restaurants near the Aare Gorge.
