The gorge and the waterfalls together make this a unique excursion. Depending on the water level, the gorge also offers an almost eerie experience. You can really feel the power of the water here. When you see blue skies again after about 30 minutes at an altitude of 150 metres, you should definitely hike a little further towards the Engelhörnhütte and Dossenhütte huts. Your “efforts” will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the mountains and the most beautiful picnic spots far and wide. On the way back, you can stop for a bite to eat at the “Schluchtbeizli”.

Important information.
From Meiringen, take the Postbus in the direction of Rosenlaui-Schwarzwaldalp and alight at the Gletscherschlucht stop. If you want even more excitement, you can hire a “Monster” scooter from the Zwirgi restaurant and ride down into the valley.
