Activities.

By managing, directing and monitoring operations and rail traffic on remote-controlled routes, traffic controllers at Zentralbahn play an important role in ensuring that our passengers travel safely and punctually around the clock. You will plan scheduled operations on a network with a large proportion of single-track operations. 

If a disruption occurs, you will make arrangements to quickly restore operations to the normal timetable. You work at the centre of a dense network: you communicate with team colleagues, our staff on the trains and numerous other contact points. You provide customers with competent and transparent information so that they always feel that they are in good hands on their journey. 

Requirements.

You have completed an apprenticeship as a rail traffic controller or equivalent training with sound professional knowledge and experience. You also work well within a team, have a quick grasp of things, act and think in a customer-oriented way and thrive in hectic situations and during disruptions, reacting with composure while also maintaining a clear overview.

Career options.

As a traffic controller, various career paths are open to you, for example, in management, planning or training. You will have the opportunity to expand your field of activity through various internal or external training courses.
